Many of these products were produced for Dale Chihuly's Chihuly Workshop over the course of a busy two years. Products were made in collaboration with other brands like Pendleton Woolen Mills, Rethink Fabrics, Modern Trend among others. I also worked to create separate product lines for the the items.
2L2G Chihuly Rethink Venetian Shirt
Rethink Fabrics in Seattle produces apparel made exclusively from recycled plastic water bottles.
Pure Imagination Shirt
The octopus is an illustration from a fax Dale Chihuly made for his Puttiseries. We printed them on American Apparel Kids Fine Jersey Short Sleeve T and American Apparel 50/50 T-shirts in wide array of bright, fun colors.
Pure Imagination Umbrella
The Seattle artist Kate Endle made a series of wonderful illustrations inspired by Dale Chihuly’s installations for our Pure Imagination line. Whimsical, fanciful, and fun, Kate’s illustrations capture the feelings of surprise and discovery that Chihuly’s work inspires in children.
Chihuly Pendleton Blanket No. 7
Inspired by designs from Chihuly’s Navajo Blanket Cylinders, Chihuly Blankets combine the signature expressive elements of Chihuly’s work with the timeless tradition of Pendleton Woolen Mills and the Native American trade blankets they have woven for over a hundred years.
Pure Imagination Placemats
Seattle artist Kate Endle produced these wonderful illustrations, inspired by Dale Chihuly’s installations, for Chihuly Workshop’s Pure ImaginationKate Endle Kids' Placemats. Kate’s illustrations capture the feelings of surprise and discovery that Chihuly’s work inspires in children. Modern-Twist helped us turn each of Kate’s drawings into these fun, eco-friendly, nontoxic, and erasable placemats. Available in the following designs:Boat, Chandelier, Conservatory, Fiori, Garden, and Underwater.
2L2G Chihuly Golden Paint
When Chihuly started drawing with acrylics, he also began to create colors that were just as expressive on the canvas as the gestures that put them there. Chihuly Workshop has teamed up with Golden Artist Colors to bring out three of the colors that Golden produces for him. This set represents just a handful of the exciting and vibrant colors that Chihuly has designed with Golden for his works on paper.
Chihuly Pure Imagination Kids' Floor Puzzle
Dale Chihuly often starts the work for his astonishing glass art on a simple piece of paper: a napkin at a restaurant, a page from a sketchbook, a fax sheet. From there, teams of collaborators, fabricators, and artisans help bring Chihuly's artistic vision to fruition. This large-format, double-sided floor puzzle follows this process for the installation that he designed for the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, with an early sketch on one side of the puzzle and a prismatic detail from the completed artwork on the other. Challenging, colorful and fun, the Chihuly Floor Puzzle will inspire the imagination and creativity of aspiring artists and others.
